Karen Agnich
President, AdvoCare, Inc.
Karen combines a diversified professional career in health care
management with extensive experience in the delivery and development
of quality health care products and practices for consumers and
business.
Responsible for all AdvoCare activities relating to the Managed Care
Organization, including group health, workers’ compensation and
disability management, Karen brings a diverse background of skills
and management expertise. Her expertise in dealing with each piece
of the total health care continuum makes her an unparalleled liaison
between the provider, client, and consumer areas of the industry.
Previous to her leadership role at AdvoCare, she served as the
Director of Health Services for a major insurer where she managed
the administration, operations, and strategic planning for all
Medicaid, Medicare and group health activities involving utilization
review and case management operations. Later in her career, as the
Contract Services Administrator for a Fortune 500 manufacturing
company, she developed and implemented the company’s in-house
managed care program for all eastern operations.
Karen is also recognized for her expertise in creating custom
training packages for providers that result in the delivery of
responsive, quality customer service programs.
As past President and current Chairperson for the Northeast Ohio
Case Managers Association, Karen is committed to improving the
ability of providers to deliver quality health care at cost
effective rates. She also serves as a member of the ICMA and is a
trainer/presenter for the Cleveland Health Quality Choice Project.
Named as one of the top 10 women business owners in Northeast
Ohio by the National Association of Women Business Owners, she is
also a member of the Board of Directors for the Health Action
Council in Cleveland.
